Blue for the Future

Blue for the Future

The colour blue has the most common responses of being a cold colour, however it can also be visualised as being a peaceful colour which can imply trust and honesty. Lighter tones and shades of blue are used in the image to connote to “world peace” and the “dreams” for the younger generation, this is used to express freedom and purity for the younger generation whom will continue to use technology in the future. Using technology allows people to make a base and platform for people to come together and connect easily and efficiently. By using a younger child on the phone portrays a visual of the future for the younger generation showing how their hopes and dreams will develop from technology. In addition to this, technology companies such as HP and Dell use the colour blue in their signature logos to convey intelligence which allows people to rely and have faith in the companies, this represents the future of a technical world where the new generation will rely on technology.

This can also relate to people’s lives being revolved around social media, more accounts and profiles are being created everyday. More posts are being published online every minute, people are now using social media as a way of life and forgetting about reality. Using the leaves and nature against a painting of a child on a phone represents an image of people living life behind a screen and forgetting about reality and what matters. The colour green of the leaves represents the life which the younger generation is starting to forget as they revolve their life around technology and live their life online.
