Lover or friends…

London is famous for its amazingly intricate and diverse street art. I stumbled upon a piece that instantly captured my eye as it was not only made up of bold colours, but was also constructed from an interesting aspect. It is also interesting to note that this piece was found outside an architecture building. The sculpture features two faces which at first confuses the viewers but at a second glance, you can really start to decipher that it is meant to represent two people whether they are lovers/friends/neighbours or family. It is ultimately left up to the individual who is analysing it. In my personal opinion, I believe that it is two lovers that are slightly distant from each other based on the slight angle of one of the sculptures faces. The use of colours also allows me to come to this conclusion as they are painted in a bold red, maybe to bring out the anger or even contained lust?  This sculpture is interesting because even though it is mostly made up of red, it is also smeared with other colours that compliment it even when you wouldn’t think so. The black brings out the shadow onto the red, whereas the green and yellow work as a separation and division between the two faces.face thingyy pix
